HAT SAMPLES

I found a love for millinery while I was in my Masters program at the University of Tennessee. I especially enjoy making tiaras, and large dioramic-style hats.

Projects included below are:

1. Charon entering the underworld: My millinery final, a showgirl-style headpiece complete with Neopixels stitched into the “mountains” to create a look that goes from day to night.

2. Private Commission: A private client that liked many animated films and television shows asked that I design something that was dynamic and was worn like a fascinator. I combined 3D printed clear resin buildings (with lights in them of course) and a wire with a magnetic piece in it to change out characters from various films and television shows (Totoro, a witch, and the Futurama space ship).

3. Tiaras: The one in clear crystals was for my millinery class, the one with red roses was for my beautiful friend’s bachelorette party.
